Forest school is for children of all ages and can be described as an inspirational process that offers children opportunities to achieve and develop confidence through hands-on learning in a woodland environment.
Your little one’s curiosity will be encouraged as will exploration with all of the senses, empowering children in the natural environment, and encouraging spatial awareness and motor development. The location provides ample opportunity to spark your child’s interest in the natural world, surrounded by mountains, woods, and streams.
We use the woodland surroundings in our play and we might build dens, hunt for minibeasts or create transient art. We might play hide and seek games, 'find a tree' or activities where we place our trust in
another, as well as daily rituals of mindfulness and yoga.
Following the forest school ethos, learning is child centred and activities and themes will be built around the interests and needs of the individual.
